General Information

  • By sending/bringing your flowers to Smart Floral Art you are automatically bound to my Terms and Conditions for flower preservation as stated.

  • On receipt of the flowers, the client, therefore, has given consent to allow Smart Floral Art to create a floral preservation order using Smart Floral Art's expert knowledge and discretion based on the flowers provided. It is at the designer's discretion as to which flowers and foliage they deem most suitable for the client's frame decision.

  • Due to GDPR Smart Floral Art will not advise any detail on any order to anyone except the client, without confirmation from the client themselves prior.

  • All flowers that are accepted into Smart Floral Art become the property of Smart Floral Art until all fees applicable are paid.

  • By sending images to Smart Floral Art, the client gives consent for Smart Floral Art to use these in their social and advertising campaigns.

  • All images used on Smart Floral Art are Smart Floral Art property. Smart Floral Art does not permit these to be used elsewhere without request.

  • If the order has been placed by a third party on behalf of the original owner of the flowers, it is the responsibility of the third party to make the original owner of the flowers aware of these terms and conditions.

Shipping

  • If you are local you can drop off your bouquet at my studio. I accept bouquet drop-offs Monday-Friday, please contact me to arrange a time around a week beforehand. Please only drop off your flowers when it has been pre-agreed with me and ensure you bring a note with your full name and deposit invoice number.

  • If you are posting your bouquet then I recommend that you use Royal Mail Special Next Day service by 1 pm to send your bouquet to me. This will help to reduce the amount of time the flowers spend in transit and therefore how long they are out of water.

  • It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the flowers arrive at Smart Floral Art in the best possible condition. Packing instructions will be provided & should be followed exactly for best results. I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your flowers whilst they are in transit via any Third Party.

  • Your flowers must arrive with me within 4 days of your wedding date. If they arrive after this date I may not be able to press them and I cannot guarantee I can complete your order.

  • If you forget to send me your flowers, you will not get your deposit back due to us allocating your bouquet a time slot and possibly turning other brides down.

  • Following receipt of the clients' flowers to the Smart Floral Art studio, any packaging will be recycled, where possible.

  • The buyer is responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information (ie. address and delivery instructions) at the time of order placement. Smart Floral Art accepts no responsibility for additional fees incurred from an undelivered package due to incorrect address or delivery instructions provided at the time of order placement.

  • You can collect your finished items during my working hours Monday-Friday, please inform me when you receive your final update and photos of the items that you would like to collect and I can arrange a time.

Cancelations & Refunds

  • If the date of your wedding has been changed, I'm happy to reschedule at no extra charge.

  • If your event has been cancelled, I am unable to refund your deposit.

  • All work is non-refundable as it is personal to you. If you are not satisfied with your order please do contact me as soon as you receive your order and I will see what can be done to rectify your issue. No refund will be offered as each item is created on a bespoke basis. If you're not satisfied with your order please email: studio@smartfloralart.co.uk

  • If you decide not to go ahead with your order after paying your final invoice you will only receive a refund for 40% of your total order value back, excluding your deposit amount.

  • Smart Floral Art do not offer a warranty or guarantee on the life span of your items, but if correctly looked after they can last for many years.

  • In the event the client's order is not received as expected Smart Floral Art will contact the courier and investigate. Smart Floral Art will provide a tracking number (if available) if the client wishes to track their order. This is not always possible depending on the courier being used. The return delivery of the client's order is out of the control of Smart Floral Art once it has left the Smart Floral Art studio, however, I will do my best to resolve any issues & ensure the client receives the order as soon as possible. Any compensation paid by the courier will be paid to Smart Floral Art directly.

  • In the event a fulfilled order has been damaged during its journey back to the client, Smart Floral Art must be formally notified in writing within 1 day upon receipt. Smart Floral Art will then arrange for the order to be collected from the respective delivery address and a new order will be made (where possible) within an appropriate timescale. This will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. In the unlikely event of this, Smart Floral Art will rectify any damage within its capabilities.

  • In the unlikely event a client's order is lost during its return journey to the client, Smart Floral Art will endeavour to replace the lost order using the remaining flowers which are held in my holding chambers and the claim will be pursued between Smart Floral Art and the respective courier. In this unlikely event, if no flowers remain from the client's order Smart Floral Art will contact the client to discuss the next action. Claims can take up to six months to resolve. This is out of Smart Floral Art's control and Smart Floral Art cannot take any responsibility for this.

  • Please note that damages do not include: a. A change in the flowers' colour, this happens naturally during the pressing process and is out of my control. b. Small imperfections in the finish of the piece, this happens as the pieces are handmade and cannot be 100% perfect.

  • As per the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) my items fall under the category of goods which are exempt from refunds. These goods include perishable goods such as flowers and personalised goods such as my framed bouquet which are made to your specifications.

  • Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns on gift cards.

Design Layouts

  • Once your final invoice has been paid we will send you an example design layout of your flowers. We will use our expertise to show your flowers off in their best format, but we always are happy to receive any alteration requests you may have. Ideally, we would not offer more than three total redesign requests before we would have to begin to charge for the time taken. This does not include minor tweaks and adjustments.

Payments

  • A £120 deposit is required to secure your wedding date which is redeemable against your final order and confirms you agree to my T&Cs.

  • If your invoice becomes overdue, after the 7-day timeframe you will receive two automated invoice reminders. I will follow up with a third reminder manually. The fourth communication will be a cancellation of your order.

  • I will send your final invoice via email to the address provided at booking once you have ordered your frame(s), around 8 weeks following the wedding.

  • Payments can be made securely via bank transfer (bank details will be on your invoice) and note that work will not commence until full payment is received.

Your Flowers and the Pressing Process

  • It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the flowers arrive at Smart Floral Art in the best possible condition. Packing instructions will be provided & should be followed exactly for best results. I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your flowers whilst they are in transit via any Third Party.

  • Your flowers will be preserved in the condition they are in when they arrive at my studio, not in the condition they were in on your actual event date.

  • I do my best to use as many of your flowers as possible however please note that I may not use all of the flowers provided. I will use the best-preserved options only.

  • Some flowers will show signs of bruising, this is something that is out of my control and will only be visible once pressed. This can happen at any point, from the florist handling them to them being held on your day to them being in transit.

  • When you place your order, you are agreeing to the understanding that some flowers change colour and shape as they are pressed.

  • Some flowers press a lot better than others, if your arrangement is all one type of flower or you have concerns over their suitability feel free to message me to discuss them.

  • Flowers can change colour during the pressing process - this can depend on factors like the age of the flowers, if they've been sprayed with any chemicals, colour enhancement by the flower farm or florist and how they arrive at the Smart Floral Art studio- all these factors are out of Smart Floral Art's control.

  • When pressed, not all flowers will retain their colour. Colour retention completely relies on the type of flower and the window of time between when they are CUT from the ground to when they are pressed. Due to me not being able to know the timeframe between being cut and pressed I cannot predict how they will hold up being pressed.

  • Not all flowers can be pressed, and not all flowers press well. If you are unsure if your flowers are suitable please get in touch and I can discuss this with you.

  • The complete process for preserving your flowers should take approximately 3-4 months, from when your flowers are delivered, depending upon the time of year. Completion may be delayed if replacement flowers need to be sourced and preserved.

  • Whilst at Smart Floral Art I will always do my utmost to preserve your flowers to the highest standard possible, I do not take responsibility for any poor results due to the age, condition, variety and colour of your flowers upon delivery to me.

Inclusions

  • If you would like to add any photos, invitations or other paper items to your pieces please mention this in an email to me.

  • It is the customer's responsibility to ensure these items are clearly packaged/labelled separately within the same box as your flowers as these can be easily missed.

  • I am not responsible if the above steps are not followed and your inclusions are missed.

    Communications during the Process

  • When you book your bouquet preservation you will receive an email with all the information you will require such as packing instructions along with the address to send your flowers.

  • You will then receive updates at the below stages: a. When I receive your flowers in the post (please allow up to 48 hours for confirmation during busy times, please check your tracking yourself for peace of mind). b. When your flowers are fully pressed and I can start your order. c. When your flowers have been reconstructed d. When your order is complete e. When your item/s have been dispatched
